Dear islam,

To reply to your question, let me ask you:

how could we send UL data? because HSDPA channel is for DL Transfert only

my response will be: DCH channel or E-DCH channel (in case of HSUPA activated)

Keep in mind that A-DCH or associated DCH is a bidirectional channel used also for Signalling transfert in this case as the data will be tranfered by HSDPA channel

Best regards,

Hi Islam,

A-DCH is used with HSDPA for sending Data in UL and Control in DL.

Also what will happen if the MS have HSDPA session and he want to make / receive call? .. how will he send its data in UL and signalling in DL while ADCH is used for voice call?

Dear,

if the mobile is involved in a PS session, he would need to establish a new RAB for CS Call Service, a new DCH will be allocated (apart from A DCH)

this is a multi rab case
