Dears I have a network with below parameter

Huawei RAN14

Allocate Code Mode
Automatic

Code Max Number for HS-PDSCH
15

Code Min Number for HS-PDSCH
1

Code # for HS-SCCH
4

The Offset of HSPA Total Power
0

HS-PDSCH MPO Constant
2.5DB

HARQ Preamble Capability Indication Mode0

Code Adjust Switch for HSDPA
ON

User Number for Code Adjust for HSDPA
3

Punish Timer Length for Code Adjust for HSDPA
5

Dynamic HS-SCCH SC Allocation Switch
OFF & On

And having below Mac-hs Chart

38172

Appreciate if I can have some ideas for improving the throughput

Thanks!

Hi friend,

Login to NodeB and type LST MACHSPARA and post the values. The values you provided are default values of CELL HSDPA and needs little optimisation like Setting No. of codes for HS-SCCH from 4 to 3, HS-PDSCH Constant from 2.5db to 0 (or) 5 but we have tried and didnt get any specific improvements.

As you can see from above, our network almost in a default stat, that's why I need some ideas to improve it accordingly!

Thanks

Dear,
what's the idea behind changing MPO Constant!

Dears

the issue is we have only 12000 Subscriber in the network, how we can expand the user number, and what are the limitation for number of user ????

Thanks

Dear MPO constant is to adjust CQI. Ue report CQI after that NodeB calculate adjusted CQI in which MPO constant is used. If you decrese MPO constant then CQI has have higher value. If you increase MPO constant CQI becomes lower. Because CQI is the main thing to allocated modulation scheme and TB size so it will impact throughput.

Dear,
i think this will increase the drop rate of HSPA service, what do you think?

It is not necessary it will increase drop rate as it is for estimation purpose. Yes it will effect cell edge users. You can try 1.5 or 2 value if in your network it is above then that.

Dear what's the idea behind decrease Code Number for HS-SCCH from 4 t o3

Generally it improves scheduling by limiting users to 3 from 4 and results in throughput increase by margin.
