TEMS:
for 2G you could use K800i

for 3G you could use Z750i

You can never get the same results with a phone as as (fast)scanning receiver. Therefore you will always need a scanner for fieldstrenght measurements

According to TEMS technical support, you could use what I ahve told you about as a scanners in case of real sites (On-Air) but to do CW (un-modulated carrier) scanning you must get scanner like PcTell - Seegull

@ justdream

on air sites ... K800 (2G) or z750 (2G, 3G) SE with TEMS
CW testing ... PCTel Seagull

Why ?
Also , why on PCTel Seagull , you put scanning refresh value for 3G shorter in comparison to GSM/DCS ?
You do it like that , is it ? Of course, for 3G there are "couple" of carriers for 3G in comparison to GSM 900 and 1800 spectrum ...
What you say ... P:)

@ justdream

on air sites ... modulated ... K800 or z750 SE with TEMS
CW testing , simulation with non-modulated ... PCTel ...

Why ?

I don't know the exact reasons but I'm sure from the accuracy of this info.

K800i could be used as scanner for 2G
Z750i and other models could be used as a scanner for 2G and 3G

for CW no way, you must get Pctell, etc

for the other question, I don't know

for the 3G CW scanning, Pctel scanner, but, but, in 3G, that is WCDMA system, if you want to get the more accurate result, you MUST use the WCDMA modulated signal transmitter, so, the Pilot signal can be scanned by SE Z750i.
