I am facing mute call issue in several places in 2G . specially this mute call happening when call caller is in 2G and called end is in 3G or vice versa . What should i do or what should i check ???

try to correlate the sites which you have the issue with connectivity plan, such issues could happen because of two things:

1)links between nodes (for example in your case the connection between BSC-MSC which you need to check the boards and STMs)
2)SW errors or mismatch between BTS/BSC sw versions

If your A interface is TDM, most common place for mute calls is incorrect mapping of A interface circuits
issues in transcoder DSPs, BTS software issues,RX quality issues, Abis link issues, packet dropping issues in IP transmission are also possible causes

Thanks for your kind reply . we were using TDM . recently we have shifted to IP transmission . all RF factors are ok and no software issue found . need to check DSPs. Thanks
