AMR Call Setup Time in Cell PCH longer than Idle mode !!

Dear All,

Does anyone confirm or deny that AMR Call Setup Time in Cell PCH is longer than Idle mode ?

Does anyone test it ?

Fahmi, the call setup time should be lower the Idle mode. In Idle mode you must setup all RRC connection again and we are talking about 20 messages at least. While you are in cell_pch just 4 messages and you are in connected mode.
Maybe other procedures is being impacted - open loop power control, fach(dcch) congestion and etc.
