Hi,
I think with TTI 2ms we reach 2.6 M and with SRBoH to 5.7.
Otherwise why SRBoH ?

you need SRB over HSPA to free dedicated Signalling channels and by this you can achieve 2SF2+2SF4

Hi, For HSUPA 5.76 Mb, only you need support tti with 2 ms. , and 2SF2 + 2SF4.

http://www.sharetechnote.com/html/Handbook_UMTS_HSUPA_CategoryTable.html

And for SRB over HSPA or F-DPCH, you have to support HSDPA and HSUPA (with TTI 2ms or 10ms)

And to have 2SF2 + 2SF4 you need SRBoHSPA. So HSUPA 5.76M need SRBoHSPA :)

The answer to your question lies in 3GPP TS 25.213 table 0.

If you dont use the SRB over HSUPA, the signaling will be over DCH.
And this DCH signaling will use a code to transfer such channel in this way you will block the code tree, so you cant use 2SF2+2SF4 anymore. So to achieve 5.7Mbps you must deploy SRBoHSUPA.

I'm confused, some consultants recommend SRB over HSUPA
other recommend over HSPA

Could you please share good document for R16

Hi.
SRB over HSDPA is not mandatory, but as friend rfsupp says, in order to save codes it could be highly recommended, but from my point of view, this only is applicable to thoses cases you have codes issues.

In UL transmiter has 6 codes in total( 6 branches that will be combined and IQ modulated ) . In case of 5.7 Mbps 4 are occupied by edch, one for hsdpch and one for ul srb(dch). So no need to use srbohspa from my point of view. But it could be that less power remained for edch id r99 srb is in place. That can reduce throughput. And also in case amr+hsupa the same is the case.
