Hi all,
What could be the reasons for high RRC drops in a cell?!
the only other thing related to RRC is that we have congestion on RRC too,

Hi shahram (http://www.finetopix.com/member.php?2884-shahram) ,

Have you checked your Radio Link power configuration?
Is it CS or PS Drops??

Can you give more details please.

Kind regards,

Check resource ulitization if you have congestion as it is the first thing that needs to be checked.

Have you check if there is a service affecting alarms, plus, have you tried to reset it first?

There you go, congestion can cause RRC to fail as well. before you do anything else: check basic stuff: coverage (signal/Quality), alarm is clean, parameter is set properly.
thanks and good luck!

Thanks all,
The RRC drop is such high that RNC level RRC drop is 5 %, drilling down to cell level shows that there are some cells which have high RRC drop upto 15%, among these cells there are both cases with congestion and without congestion, but I noticed that most of the drops are happening for PS RRCs and few of them related to FACH.
