Hi, folks. Just started initial configuration LTE network and met some problems - iphone 5 doesn't want to select LTE network... On the other hand android-based Alcatel Idol 2 has no problem with LTE, CS fallback also working fine. Is there some special problems with iphones in LTE networks? Did anybody deal with it?

Ok first of all you need to check that the iPhone supports the band your LTE network is on. Second you need to check that LTE is enabled on your iPhone. Have a look at the 3G RRC UE capabilities and looks for EUTRA FDD support.

I'm sorry dear friend partizanen72rus (http://www.finetopix.com/member.php?86977-partizanen72rus),

But I'm afraid that you might be confused about it. Apple iPhone 5 doest not support Band 7 nor Band 38 (both for 2600 Mhz).

This is the list of supported bands regarding the model:

GSM model A1428: band 4 (AWS - 1700/2100 MHz) and band 17 (700 Mhz Lower B and C Block)
GSM model A1429: band 1 (2100 MHz), band 3 (1800+) and band 5 (850 MHz)
CDMA model A1429: band 1 (2100 MHz), band 3 (1800+ MHz), band 5 (850 MHz), band 13 (700 MHz Upper C Block) and band 25 (1900+ MHz).

I hope this can help you buddy.

Best regards,

Dear partizanen72rus (http://www.finetopix.com/member.php?86977-partizanen72rus),

Apple should gave your operator license to allow LTE on iphones, the operator should request license and apple will send test phones with special apps to collect loges and a guide for tests, and just when apple engineers confirm that every thing is right and configuration are right they will gave the operator the license, then the iphone will make network update (and the operator will be included in all later iOS updates) after that iphone will camp on LTE.

You need to modify the Operator configuration file to open LTE capabilities
