Hi everyone,

What is the advantages and disadvantages if set F1 for CS service only and F2 for PS service only?

Appreciate if you can provide the information.

Thanks.

depend on how much PS traffic you have

you should check the traffic, power, and code for all services. if CS is less. you should use F1 for CS and PS services

won't work, you need sometimes to establish a multirab connexion , how you gonna fix it , better is to use load balancing favoritising IFHO on NRT

Agree with Yassinino,
the best is to use both channels for CS/PS. think about DC and multi-RAB.
use UE idle mode parameters to balance traffic in idle mode as this is the best strategy. use DRD when Traffic balancing between the two channels cannot be reached in the idle mode. you should enable IFHO to prevent call drops as your two channels could have different footprints BUT if you have the 2 channels everywhere in your network I would suggest that you disable IFHO.

Hi All,

Interesting question. I agree as well with the above commented. Just wanted to add that besides the limitation that would give you Multi-RABs connection, you have to consider frequency bands deployed for both carriers because could be possible to have different ones and that just add you another problem on trying to separete traffic by CS/PS services among carriers.

Best regards,
