Hi all,

I have MTP700 that won't power up.

It was trouble with "write software" via CPS: when this option working, radio's software was erased, but then CPS displays error "cannot open file".
After that, radio won't power on.

What I need to restore it? I have CPS, cable and software image R03.000.3375 MTP700 MR3.6.1E.

Thanks.

Solved =)

To write new software, we need put radio into flash mode:

1. Detach battery
2. Connect programming plug
3. Connect 12V to pin 13 of bottom accessory socket,
4. Attach battery
5. Power on the radio. Screen will be blank - it's normal. Pressing 1+9 is not needed!
6. Run CPS -> Tools -> Write Software. CPS will be trying to detect our radio. Be patient.
7. After detecting, CPS will be write "success" and we now can flash new software to our radio :)

RA1AIE is right AND on Win XP do not forget to disable the f*** FIFO Buffers in COM port properties.
It took me 1 day to find out what was wrong with the above setup. :mad:
