We have deactivated PS RABs over 64KB which consumes anyway Code and CE resources and soon after we noticed an improvement in the DCR. Now the focus is HS Data and no one is curious about PS R99 Data. If I can estimate R99 PS Data vs HS Data I would say 1:20.

Hi,

In case you still have issue in R99 drop you can activate SRB of HS. Its a good feature that can reduce PS drop call.

How deactivating PS RABs over 64KB will improve in PS CDR? I mean you are decativating low rate RB, but how does it related with PS drop rate improvement?

Hi senjamir (http://www.finetopix.com/member.php?11176-senjamir),

As our colleagues I'm lookingn forward to know more about any approach to reduce PS Drop with SRB on HSDPA. As long as I know with SRB on HSDPA, SRB in downlink is no longer subjected to macro diversity so there is a risk of increased drop rate.

Anyways, I've seen this feature is very useful because is activated along with F-DPCH so it helps to reduce code resource consumption and call set-up delay.

Best regards,
