Dears,

From your experience with LTE..

Does LTE able to compete with 2G in matters of real time voice calls, Indoor coverage, long-time battery

Does LTE able to compete with 3G in matters of Real time Packet services, Video calls, Streaming

Can LTE replace both 2G & 3G

from the theoretical point of view LTE should replace 2G & 3G , and 2G , 3G will be back up technology

and from user experience of LTE , video streaming ( SKype ) is better in quality than 3G

LTE to replace 2G & 3G , yes it will

I think 2G will disappear in developed country on 2017 ... LTE will replace

but as far as I heard LTE up to now didn't provide Real time Voice service

Another points please , how is LTE indoor coverage compared with 2G/ 3G
and Mobile battery consuming power compared with both as well

Real Time Voice will be available through Volte

for the indoor coverage it is the same as 2G/3G as it is working in the same band as them , not only 2.3 Mhz & 2.6 Mhz

for the battery consuming , the UE tx power emitted is the same from 3G mobile
it is matter of time

I see LTE in current worldwide networks uses different bands based on each country regulations and it varies from to 700 Mhz to 2600 Mhz
Doesn't it affect coverage especially for more than 2100 Mhz?

is VoLTE like VoIP?

yes for sure the variation in band will affect the coverage , and they are working on HO bet this band and the Dual carrier band aggregation

I think VoLTE is slightly different than VoIP

VoLTE is slightly different than VoIP in terms of QOS. and Network topology

LTE would eventually replace 3G and 2G due to it's spectral efficiency and cost effectiveness. Once IMS is implemented by operators, accompanied by adequate handset support, we should be having carrier grade voip implemented in LTE.
