(Huawei) SHO between 2 sector in same node B (diff UL resouce group)

For Huawei network, I have to assign 2 sectors (same frequency) in the same NodeB into the different UL resource group but somebody told me that because of they are in different resource groups, those 2 sectors might not able to do the soft or softer HO anymore. Is it correct? SHO is not possible??, even in the same NodeB have to do the HHO??

Intra-Frequency Soft Handover

Intra-frequency soft handover is more commonly used than intra-frequency hard handover. The

types of intra-frequency soft handover are as follows:

l Intra-NodeB soft handover (WRFD-020201 Intra NodeB Softer Handover, also known as

softer handover)

Softer handovers can be performed only between cells in the same uplink resource group.

The downlink resource group configurations of different base station types affect softer

handovers as follows:

– For a DBS3800 earlier than RAN13.0, soft handovers cannot be performed between

cells configured on different baseband boards.

– The downlink resource group configurations of the 3900 series base stations and the

BTS3812E/BTS3812AE have no impact on softer handovers.
The LST ULOCELL command is used to display the resource group for a cell.
