Dears,
We want to plan a city for UMTS 2100 and we do not have tunned model for this frequency but we have tuned model for 1800. Do you have any idea how to convert the 1800 Kfactors to use in UMTS 2100?
How about if we consider K1 3dB higher ?
how about if we consider 3db loss per all clutters?

thx,

Hi

You cant use 1800 value for 2100...
2100 works with cosr231 model

how about LTE900...
how can i have the k factor.
having UMTS 2100 AND LTE1800 now..

LTE900 K factor is the same as GSM900.

crca2010, really? may i know that u have experience this before?

In Hata derived models the K factor is linked to the frequency not technology. Hence, K factor for 900 is the same for both.

I hope this equaion will be helpful:
K (for the new band)=k (for the tuned band) + 20 log(new band/tuned band)

If you like it, please add it to my reputation.

yes, you are right this might formula may work

in my experience, u can do it
before when u calibrate k2 to k7 for 900 -1800 are fixed before calibarate
and find k1 for each frequency band.
