Hi experts,

For handover failures TEMS gives reasons as Datalink failure, Layer2 failure. Can any one explain why that happens and suggestions to avoid that.
In addition to that number of intra cell handovers are happening.

Dear,

DataLink Failure is a layer2 message, wich means that the layer 2 connection is broken
Layer2 is waiting for an acknowlegde message from its pear Layer2 in T200 time, if it didn't receive any thing it will restart T200 and increment a counter
if it still didn't receive an acknowledge message when the counter is incremented N200 times, it consider the radio link is broken.

To solve the problem:
Handover Failures is mainly related to one of the following reasons:

Hardware problem at the target cell
Transmission problem at the target cell
Interference problem at the target cell
Best server problem

You must have an interference problem because of intracells HO happening

NB: T200 is a layer2 timer, RLT is a layer3 timer both are controlling the radio link quality, whenever one of them is expiring the radio link is considered as broken

Hi brothers

check the values of timers T200& N200 if they are small.
