Hi all,

Can you share your experience on Mass Event preparation for UMTS NSN RU30 in terms of parameter settings?
I'm especially interested on your experience on methods you've used or even just tried for reducing UL load and CE comsumption with the Pros and Cons.
Also, experience on settings that "went wrong" are welcome.

Examples:

Disabling HSUPA TTI2ms
Admission Control settings
Soft Handover Settings
...

Any comments, ideas, discussions are welcome.

Hi,

Directed retry activation is one of the solution to save more power resources for HS users.

Cheers

It's not directly related but you can see the thread UL interference in big events (http://www.finetopix.com/showthread.php?36853-UL-interference-in-big-events) in order to take some ideas, by the way when you have high RTWP you need to check for PIM because it's a big issue that reduce your capacity specially in UL you can see it as NOISE RAISE or HIGH RTWP, when you have a -130 dBc or -87 dBm value for PIM in UMTS you have a good installation and you'll squeeze the entire capacity, if lower you'll loose some capacity depending on the value of PIM. The values for LTE are -140 dBc or -97 dBm, this values when you use 2*20W PIM TEST both UMTS and LTE. Best regards,
