Huawei
Code Max Number for HS-PDSCH : 15
Code Min Number for HS-PDSCH : 1
User Number for Code Adjust for HSDPA : 3
Code Number for HS-SCCH : 4

From Drive, CQI varies from 21 to 25
and RSCP also good more than -75 dbm.

I changed min no of codes to 5 and yet i could achieve max speed 2.7 mbps. Is there any other parameters i have to look.

Any help pl.

You need to check you IuB, how much is bandwidth?
The UE you are using is from which category? How much is the file size you are using for download?
Are you downloading from some FTP server or some website? If website then your Gi link might also have congestion.

Can you see coding scheme 16QAM/64QAM being allocated to your UE in DT?

Iub is in IP mode 14.4 MBps.
UE from cat 8
77% from 16 QAM
From FTP server. File size 50MB continous iteration

You try to check Ec/Io also if CQI 25-30 value will request 64 QAM and when you test ;have many traffic or not. then change HS-PDSCH parameter from Auto to manual.

Hello radio,

Change the Code Number for HS-SCCH from 4 to 2 and see the changes.

@deknoi55
a u suggesting change codeallocation to manual

@samurai
Can u explain little bit further

further MPO constant set 2.5db is it ok.

Dude ... which code allocation method u are using ??
Dynamic RNC
Static RNC
or Dynamic Node B

It's recommended by Huawei to use the third one and this will assure you the higher speed

Also the # of codes for HS-SCCH = 4 will allow you to reach 14 codes max for PDSCH even if you set the max as 15

@zeezzoo

allocation automatic (rnc)
how to implement nodeB code allocation methhod
mml cmd pl.

In actix, i could not find Uu_HSDPA_No of HSDPA codes attribute in the logs done with above settings

Resource Allocation Method can be checked on LST MACHSPARA(default code but go code_power) by this command.
If you use HS-SCCH = 2 you would query 2 users max and share the codes between them, if you use 1 you can give 1 user all the codes for a TTI2ms or TTI10ms depending on the service.
Default huawei parameter is 4 but if you check from M2000 explanation they say that you need to use 2 for outdoor when the number of users isn't that big and 4 for micro(when the number of users is big). Most of networks use 3 as optimized values.(you can confirm it by reading a thread on the forum).
BTW check with core side if there is any politic from them for user limitation to 3Mb.
Change the source of downloading, try some manual download from you pc using your phone as a modem and see if there is any difference.

I would add to all above to check the the server you use for download i.e connectivity, any possible bottleneck etc. better use your internal one as well as wireshark in parallel with LMT trace, cell's KPIs etc. for deep troubleshooting.

we are using dedicated ftp server.
From actix, code usage is found ok. CQI also good.

From most of the time channel usage is in FACH 88% . what's the relevant parameter to check for pushing FACH to DCh based on traffic and time
Is there anything i have to do with directed retry, ho timer any help for parameter/command pl.

any explanation for traffic class and THP. and how BE and interactive classes to be configured

any help p.

Increase the Code Max Number for HS-PDSCH from 15 to 30 to increase the OVSF resources and test again.

How come HSDSCH codes be greater than 15?? I don't think so it's possible...Is it?

its possible on the node b level depending on the licence

Watch out when setting the maximum no of 15 HS codes for the Voice/ signalling service; usually 14 HS codes are used to let free 2 SF16 code branches.
Try to test the speed using Handset/ Modem with an unlimited IMSI. What type of scheduler do you have (Round robin? )? Have you checked the load on the NodeB when you tested the speed? what are the maximum throughput speeds at cell level?
