Hi guys,

I hope you can enlighten me with this 3G parameter "R99FLOWCTRLSWTCH" of HUAWEI.

What is the effect when it is set to "Close" or "Open".

It would enable Flow control for R99 traffic, So if Load is high it would block new users and this will impact your KPIs, instead of using this Switch you should prefer other algos like LDR etc to balance traffic.

Flow control is to ensure GoS for current users and block any new when there is a risk of high load....

Hi,
we have this switch enabled in our network. before you do it you should enable the RNC level switch as well to enable the E2E flow control.
this switch only will kick off when the NodeB is in congestion state. based on you setting we basically prefer the RT flows over NRT flows in this case. this means your CS users wil enjoy better QoS under congestion but your PS users will suffer.
you can start by deploying at at the highly congested NodeBs in your network first.
