We had only swapped the BTS from ALU to NSN and no other changes were done in the network. All the parameters were also standardized.Hardware alarms for both ore-post also been checkd and not found any. The problem is that after swap we are getting lots of new cells in most of the areas resulting into dropped calls, access failures, quality degradations etc both in 2G & 3G....what could b the possible problem in this case? Please suggest.

Match the powers, Check Cabinet top power for ALU, match with NSN, If you are using Multi Radio consider Feeder losses as well and reduced TRX power equal to Feeder losses.

ALU Pre-swap network must have been optimized by the respective operator and Power control should be having some aggressive values that can also be the reason for overall interference increase in NSN network later on, Just make power control more aggressive.
