Hi
Does any one know what are the timers that enhance the "HSDPA Packet Session Drop Rate"?

Hi, Saifadin! There are still many drops due UE Fast Dormancy without network notification. So you may shift
this drops from HSDPA to FACH playing with timer MACdFlowThroughputTimetoTrigger and etc.

Good ideas.
We have this folmula: Power(HS-PDSCH) = Power(CPICH) + Γ + Delta, so if i ncrease the CPICH power, i will get more HSDPA Power?

ninjafine (http://www.finetopix.com/member.php?64397-ninjafine): Do you mean : EDCHMACdFlowThroughputTimetoTrigger or MACdFlowThroughputTimetoTrigger ? i have: MACdFlowThroughputTimetoTrigger=5!!
And it is RNC parameter, Do i have to change it for the whole network?

Hi Saifadin,

In my network theMACdFlowThroughputTimetoTrigger=5

The EDCHMACdFlowThroughputTimetoTrigger=256 and you what is the value?

Hi
for the MACdFlowThroughputTimetoTrigger=5
EDCHMACdFlowThroughputTimetoTrigger I don't know, may be it is not defined, i dont see it in the dump!!!!!!

normally its defined in the managed object RNHSPA and the related function is packet scheduler.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Parameter name Low throughput time to trigger of the E-DCH MACd
flow
Abbreviated name EDCHMACdFlowThroughputTimetoTrigger
3GPP name -
Managed object RNHSPA
Parameter group PSParameters
Category Radio Resource Utilisation
Multiplicity 1
Description This parameter defines the low throughput time to
the trigger timer for the throughput measurement of
the E-DCH NRT MAC-d flow. If the result of the
throughput measurement is lower than or equal to
the EDCHMACdFlowThroughputRelThr, the
EDCHMACdFlowThroughputTimetoTrigger is
started. If the result of the throughput measurement
is higher than the EDCHMACdFlowThoughputRelThr,
the EDCHMACdFlowThroughputTimetoTrigger
is stopped and reset. If the timer expires,
the E-DCH NRT MAC-d flow is released, assuming
that also the corresponding HS-DSCH NRT MAC-d
flow is allowed to be released.
Range 0...300
Step 0.2
Unit s
Formula for getting
internal value
internal_value = gui_value * 5
Default value 5 s

have you change some radio parameters/QOS IUB/IUPS and SGSN or MTU in backbone IP between RNC and SGSN/GGSN?
if you change something the question is when ans what

It is not defined in the RNHSPA, i dont see it.
I will try to get using the MML, the question, did anyone chnaged before? what are the new value and the results(KPI)?
