Hi,
Can some onne explainme how interPwrMax (dB), interRate (bps), maxPwrMax (dB), maxRate (bps) change can improve accessibility and retainability?
And how can improve call setup success rate PS?

Hi Jason, essentially these parameters control the range of DL power control (for R99 DCH including the A-DCH). The ones you mentioned set the maximum power per radio link (expressed as an offset to CPICH) depending on the rate of the radio bearer. There is one more that sets the minimum power per radio link (don't remember the name, but can look it up). In theory the more max power you allocate the better are your chances of not dropping a call in a deep fade. The minus side however you that you run out of DL power sooner and hence might lead to blocking due to reaching power adm. E******* recently produced some nice guidelines for this parameter set under the planning section of the W13B ALEX library.

Hello,
Those parameters are defining maximum allowed RL power... it means the initial allocated power for R'99 can not exceed the maximum allowed power ( which can impact the RL establishment) but it could be rare just in the case of low coverage or overshooting cells it can have impact on RL establishment or in highly loaded cells you can face need of high power per radio link... which is also rare because you are already in state of power blocking
on the other hand in power control also RL is limited to Maximum power imposed by that curve yuo have mentioned.... so when you increase those threshold.. you may get better drop call as higher power per RL is allowed and you can maintain better SIR ans quality
As wolverine mention changing those parameters increases the chance of facing power blocking...
Experiences: when you are activating SB3.4 or Low Rate AMR... it is highly suggested to change those parameters other than default because your drop call increases ( minpwrmax, minrate, )

In case if PWR is your limitation factor in your network it is NOT suggested to change it as power utilization will increase more.
