Dear Experts,

What can be the reason for call drop due to forced HO?

What parameters can we modify to optimize this kind of drop?

Thanks.

Dear Piscean21,

What output do you get after you check the DT logfiles?
Quality it is really important and usually when there is bad quality the subscriber it is forced to pass to the neighbor cell and if the quality is bad there also the subscriber tries to get back but there are penalty for the previous cell in order to avoid ping pong HO.
HO margins are also important, in this case DT logs will tell you all the information you need.

Thanks in advance.

Regards.

Hi,

in case of HW, there are 2 types of force HO.
1. Due to source cell shut down
2. due eMLPP operation on congested source cell

The best solution is to ensure that there is no downtime for cells in question. As well relieve cell congestion. If eMLPP is the cause, try fine tuning or disabling it.

eMLPP - enhanced Multilayer Precedence and Pre-emption
