Hi all. This is my first post on this group.

I have a ******** MTP300 Tetra radio and i want to program it.

I have bought a cable (NO RIB) RS232 port to radio.

I'm using R03.32.02 software under Windows 98, but when it tries to read the radio, the radio goes off and sounds a very loud whistle (i have to remove the battery to turn off the sound).

Anyone know what software i have to use to program it and where i can to download?

Thanks a lot

Hello,

MTP300 radio is quite old, it requires RIB + specific cables & box (both COM port & PARALLEL port are used), it's expensive and rare stuff...
I guess you have the DATA cable (MAP27).

Computer settings are good ( OS and software)

Hello bup.
Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I know it needs cables and RIB, but I bought this cable.

http://www.ebay.es/itm/COM-Programmierkabel-fur-********-MTP200-MTP300-/370711034386?pt=DE_Handys_Kommunikation_Funktechnik&hash=item5650197a12&_uhb=1

In the description, it says it not needs RIB.

But when the software tries to read the radio, it resets and you hear a loud sound. I have to remove the battery to stop ringing.

Thanks for the answer.

Could you ask to the seller if he had already tested his cable with MTP200/300 ?

He has maybe listed MTP200/300 radios because it use same accessory connector as others models in his list...

If CPS uses both Com & parallel ports and CPS can't 'see' one of them, it could be problematic...
