Hi guys,

I have seen some network operator use continuos PSSC in the cells belonging to the same site (0,1,2), however I have also seen that in some cases they use different PSSC from different groups for the cells that belongs to a site (0,8,16).

What is the difference from a performance point of view in this 2 approach?

Thanks in advance.

Dear,

most probable that the second case is used after network expansion, and the planner use the reserved PSC, and the use of non-successive PSC is to avoid PSC clash.

it has no impact on the performance.

What is a PSC clash?

hi ticoff

I think P.T.E. refers to PSC collision... this is when 2 cells with same PSC has presence over a common area. In addition there are several collision orders... but basically the idea is separate the PSC reuse as much as possible in order to avoid collisions.

However, i am nto convince about P.T.E. answer... even the Planning tools have this option use PSC form different groups for the cells belonging to one site... like (0,8,16) and the other approach is also available use PSC in cells belongign to one site no matter if they belongs to the same group like (0,1,2).
