Dear ALL

After luanching EVDO service In one BSC there was a connection problem because of MEID, After Check BSC parameter we found the MEID Support Function is OFF.

So we enble it and the EVDO preformance enhanced.

But latter we get a complaints from some subscriber In BSC Area that they couldn't get access to Internet (1X) so we did a trace and the failure reason was ("MS-not-equiped-or-incapable").

could you please help me with this problem?
why they can't access 1x data service?

Hi Hamody, you need to analyse the layer 3 messages in detail. Failure reason not enough. If you need help, make a data call from that complaining MS while running a trace, save the dat file and upload here.

After trace review I get the Ms tells the system it can support MEID but when it ask for MEID the MS return MEID="00 00 00 00 00 00 00"

and service connect message followed by reject order from MS

But why only 1x data voice call normal

Your PDSN needs to support MEID function. From the trace you can see that your MS is MEID equipped and your BSC caters for it by assigning a MEID supplemental channel. But your data call is released by the PDSN which can be seen in the A9-Release-A8 message. Thats why its sending a MS-Not-Equipped message. Can you send command results for LST MEIDSUP from BSC? You can activate PDSN MEID support there MOD MEIDSUP or else it will have to be supported in the PDSN directly.

Yes the PDSN MEID Support is enabled (All yes) at the time of trace

Also The A9 release it comes after Ms sen reject (order message )

Yes that's true. From 3GPP2 specs it seems your mobile rejects because message cannot be handled in MS. I overlooked this part in a hurry. But can you make sure that your AAA, PDSN, and AAA, PDSN MEID support switch in BSC all support MEID?

I would also suggest to connect that same phone to QXDM and trace layer 3. You will get a more detailed trace than Huawei's. In that you will be able to see HardwareID Request and Response message exchange between AN and AAA.

Yes All Items In MOD MEIDSUP are "YES"

I will try to connect it to QXDM because this kind of terminal is Chinese "fake"

Also

I tested the terminal in two different BSCs but it works in these two but one not

check the difference in configurations in those bscs.

Dear T_ADD

After I compare bscs cfg I founf Softpara of CCM 4 was diffrenet

we modify it and it works but still problem in Assigning SCH "the user feel the speed is less than before"

Is CCM 4 service negotiation parameter? In mine its set to 0x14000000 (b'101'). What's yours? For 1x speed you can run trace again and analyse for SCH assignment.

I modify it to 0x10000000

About the trace What you mean by SCH assignment.

Also If you have a tool to decode trace files.

Your parameter setting 0x10000000 which is b'100' may be correct since you have multiple BSCs. Check C.S0005 3GPP2 document for layer 3 messages that relate to SCH. The trace files are viewed in the same LMT where you run them. No special tools.
