Which WBBP board type for UL CE Congestion?

Dear all, I have multiple cells where I have UL CE congestion. I want to add a WBBP board to improve the situation. I want to know how to evaluate and calculate which board should be installed out the available options we have (128,192, 256, 384) based on UL CE congestion rejects?Huawei RAN12, BTS3900.BR

If that node B has high data volume demand , I think better to go for 384. If you install this WBBP board then that node be will have the addition 384 CE for UL and 384 CE for DL right? HSUPA service consume very high UL CE. Better to check the CE utilization, and then you can decide which one you need to install based on the demand of that node B.

If you have a UL CE cong. You can use WBBPd2. It has 384 DL & UL CE

i ever experinced similar case. there are 2 WBBP and CSSR degraded due to board overload. to decide which WBBP that faulty, we bring it's data to Huawei HQ.

Do you have Dynamic CE active on that cells? If not, this means HSUPA is consuming a lot of resources and is better to buy a DYN CE licence than investing in a board. If you have Dynamic, then i sugest you to estimate the mean credits used

UL Mean CE Used Number = Sum_AllCells_of_NodeB(VS.LC.ULCreditUsed.Mean/2)

This way you may estimate how many credits you could need and is easier to decide which board to install.

the recommendation is, if ur CE utilization goes above ~70% in the BH for one week period u should consider expansion. It is always better to have powerful boards so WBBPd type . Also it supports some additional features.

The WBBP board is not enough. You need to get appropriate license for number of CE
