Multi RAB Drops

Hi. Do you have any idea which parameter i can use for reduce the multi-rab drops. Also how to check utyperabrlc pararameters from M2000. I got the data but the size is very big. So it is very mix to understand. Please share your ideas.Thank you.

Hi there,

first of all, there is no parameter which can directly set a limit to your drops :)

before changing anything in your network you will need to do your homework first: analyze the drops - when are they happening (at the second RAB setup or release), is one RAB dropping while the other survives, or they both drop? Which one have most drops - CS or PS? Are there cells with significantly higher number of drops (or MultiRAB drop rate) than other or it is evenly distributed in the RNC? Which sw version you're running? Any Multi-RAB features active? What CS+PS combination you use (R99 or HS, UL/DL)? Maximum rates in MRAB?

After you analyze all this data you can get to the solution yourself. If not - post the data here and someone might be able to assist you.

In Huawei you can introduce the following changes and you will have a good DCR reduction

** Switch Multi Rab connections to R99 in order to control the data rates
** reduce UL and DL multi RAB BE rates to D16.
