Dear Experts
Please explain these two parameters.

THRUTRANHIGH
THRUTRANLOW

I am confused between high and low thresholds. Please explain in details as I couldn't find them even in Hedex.

Hi,
Have a look to this post: http://www.finetopix.com/showthread.php?31320-3G-to-2G-cell-reselection-in-idle-mode
and liaise with Handover24 who should know about it http://www.finetopix.com/member.php?69393-Handover24

Thanks Philippe,I have gone through that post but I am still confused in high & low thresholds.Whether both of them should be same or different because by default they are same .

Dear Handover24,

Please help.

Why not rather pm Handover24? He's likely to easily miss your plea here. :p

Hi Guys,
those two parameters are in the Hedex library...below the meaning :

Parameter ID

THRUTRANHIGH

Parameter Name

UTRAN Cell Resel High THD Based on PRI

NE

BSC6900

MML Command

SET GCELLPRIEUTRANSYS (http://localhost:7890/pages/GEB02251/01/GEB02251/01/resources/FAGHtml/mbsc/m-mml/set-gcellprieutransys.html)

Meaning

If the measured RSCP value of one or more neighboring UTRAN cells is higher than the value of this parameter, the MS is allowed to reselect a neighboring cell in UTRAN whose priority is higher than the GERAN priority. The values of this parameter correspond to the following decibel values: 0: 0 dB, 1: 2 dB, 2: 4 dB, 3: 6 dB, ..., 30: 60 dB, 31: 62 dB.

Parameter ID

THRUTRANLOW

Parameter Name

UTRAN Cell Resel Low THD Based on PRI

NE

BSC6900

MML Command

SET GCELLPRIEUTRANSYS (http://localhost:7890/pages/GEB02251/01/GEB02251/01/resources/FAGHtml/mbsc/m-mml/set-gcellprieutransys.html)

Meaning

If the receive levels of the serving cell and all neighboring GSM cells are lower than "Low GSM Threshold Based on Priority", and if the measured RSCP value of one or more neighboring UTRAN cells is higher than the value of this parameter, the MS is allowed to reselect a neighboring cell in UTRAN whose priority is lower than the GERAN priority. The values of this parameter correspond to the following decibel values: 0: 0 dB, 1: 2 dB, 2: 4 dB, 3: 6 dB, ..., 30: 60 dB, 31: 62 dB.
