Hi Boyzzz and Girlzzzz,
I'm struggling to plot Rx Lev on Google Earth, I don't have TEMS to export from RA, I just need any other ways of doing this;:))
I have tried some third party tools to make snapshot from Google and make a .TAB file for Mapinfo with snapshot, but still it's inaccurate.
I saw now one guy was having Google plots on Mapinfo but he didn't share with me the needed tool.
If anyone of u know how to do this will be great
thanks in advance,
K

Dear kalvera
I have understood your problem clearly. I am also facing the same problem like you,
Actually there is some technique for making the synchronization between snapshot and .Tab file..
Give me some time to provide you the solution
BR
dude find attached A macro , which ll resolve ur problem .....
just export following IE(information elements)
a)Rx Revel
b)Rx Quality
c)Longitude
d)Lattitude
and paste that info in the macro and run it , u ll find 2 seperate files (.kml) ...

Hi...everbody
how to open google image in mapinfo??????????????
There's also one extremely simple way to import a coverage model to a Google Earth, by using image overlay.
Radio Mobile does this by itself, but you can do it in GE in a couple of simple steps.
For example, I made an etremely simple coverage model for downtown Belgrade, and I've exported coverage to an image file:
http://tesla.rcub.bg.ac.yu/%7Evmarko37/coverage/slika2.jpg
The important part is that I know exact coordinates of 4 corners of this image.
Now all I have to do is to open GE, go to Add > Image Overlay, and then in the new window select my image as the overlay image, ajdust opacity and enter the right coordinates for image border:
http://tesla.rcub.bg.ac.yu/%7Evmarko37/coverage/slika4.jpg
In the end, I get something like this:
http://tesla.rcub.bg.ac.yu/%7Evmarko37/coverage/slika5.jpg
Looks a bit messy, but now I have the picture about RSL around the city.
With the right level of opacity you can see both coverage and the GE graphics.

Try to search for the GEScene here !
This is a tool that will bring the Google images in your Mapinfo and automatically registers it as a raster image.
Drawback: It only registers 4 points automatically, if u want to be more accurate then u can add 2-3 more points in it, Use your sites Lat and Long to create extra points. !
This is a gr8 share by "roots" , thanks for sharing !!

bruv, it is not difficult, plot your sites and then note down the Lat and Long of it, then go to Google Earth and add the custom point in it and change its coordinates with the noted site coordinates. Now you know where actually your site Exist, save the image and open it with the GEScene, click on ADD Points in it and then edit the 5th point with the Site Lat long.
It seems little confusing from here, and you need little effort in doing so, GEScene will help you to get the Google image and register 4 points which maps ur image very closely, Further addition of points (i recommend at least 2 more points) can allign the image in Google Earth 95%).
There is another tool AeXio GEConverter, which converts your sites in to KML file. You Can Download from the below link
http://dl.filekicker.com/send/file/215919-HTDF/aexioGEConverterV2.0withGuide.zip
This is handy to view your Noted points in Google Earth, I hope it helps
Try to Use GEScene first and then Add more points with the help of Aexio GEConverter

he dude sorry for being so annoying guy but, I'm very close to the final stage just few more questions if it's ok with u:) just few clueless questions:)
Now save the image and open it with the GEScene-> what do u mean open it with GEScene
click on ADD Points in it and then edit the 5th point with the Site Lat long -> ?
Just if u can explain how to add more points in GEScene, cause whenever I run it gives only 4 points?
cheers

Latest version of MapInfo (9.5, 10.0) include a (free) tool to export to Google Earth (GELink.mbx) located i the Tools Section of the installation

Yes, but if I'm not mistaken, MapInfo exports an image to Google Earth, not poly lines, so it's not that useful and you need additional tools.

You can export anything and everything with the built-in tool. Play with it and you'll see
yes you are all right! u can convert mapinfo to KML using mapinfo 9 to 10. But additional tool like global mapper can help you get maps and edit it also. better plots can also be achieved using this tool.

I am using radio mobile and i m new to it. I know how to getthe coverage pattern on the image included on the radio mobile software. I want it to see on the google earth. ? Can you help me in doing this..?
