RSSI from Android limited to -51 dbm during walk test when close to indoor hat.

With every single Android App I came across the maximum RSSI I could get was -51 dbm. I am convinced that android doesn't allow the signal to be above that.

Does anyone have an idea how I can get a stronger signal than that? Will apps like nemo, genex, qualipoc etc. be able to give stronger signals or is this a qualcomm hardware issue? Should we alter the qualcomm modem driver?

Any ideas will be appreciated.

Etsi: TS 27.007 8.5 is the reason. Any ideas?

Sorry - you have different problem.

I have the same problem here with Lenovo P700 and Samsung Grand Duos . RSSI stuck at -85 and -83 dB in many programs. But I think because the phone have 2 SIM and program just pick a number to display. When I'm on Fieldtest mode the RSSI change normally.
