Dual Carrier & capacity

When activating DC, one UE will get double WCDMA ressources.
Will this affect the network capacity ?? :confused:

of course.

From the RF stand point, a DC UE is able to consume twice the amount of RF ressources...
So from the network perspective, a DC UE is couting twice.

There is however a slight advantage : for a UE requesting a given amount of data, having 2 RF pipes is giving you some statistical advantages of being served in a shorter time. Hence a better efficiency.

Since most data plan sold by operator are not unlimited, you can safely assume that it is not changing much overall.
