Hi Experts,
Currently Fast Dormancy Handling / FDH has just been introduced to the networks (E///). Some drawback in the form of KPI degradation observed from CSSR R99, Speech, HSPA & PS Drop. It is common issue that these degradation are only KPI wise and do not affect the active subs.
To save the Mobile battery & RNC resource, When UE not accessing any data , UE goes from DCH to URA state rather than Idle state (by channel switching), then RRC & PS RAB suspended but not released. When UE want to accessing data again then it's suspended RRC & RAB resumed again & channel switching done from URA->FACH->DCH.Because every time UE don’t need new RRC & RAB,So in this scenario PSRRC & PS RAB attempt will decreased.
And in both case (suspending & resuming the RAB) channel switching done, So Each type of channel switching increased.
So this is the normal behavior after activating the feature "URA' & “Fast Dormancy" --> it is not the fault but it is the system improvement.
The end users will not observe any problem , Only some KPI will get affected (that used PS RRC, Fach disconnect & Channel switching counters). So need to change or adjust the KPI formula of those customer KPI.

DOES anyone has idea about the CSSR formula it's supposed to be following the new conceept above from FDH???? If you use legacy formula, it shows indeed degradation for sure...

lookin forwards...
