Operators have a big issue in hands and I'm looking at it, that´s the OTT Apps, the issue of this thread in not focused on revenue, it´s Engineering.
Let´s suppose that a very used App has problems in their servers, and the App behavior is to try to contact their servers for synch and whatever thing it has to do, we will assist that the App will try consistently to contact their servers (originated from the terminal), and for that generating allocation of resources, my question,
is there any way of stopping this kind of interaction between smartphone and the network??
(we can block Gi from external access but in this case, the traffic will be originated from the terminal)
??
I have heard that there is some Apps that meltdown some Operators for a few hours :funk:
