What an old thread.

But anyway, writing a query to detect missing neighbors is a very tedious job. A single query alone will not show you who the missing neighbors are unless you write additional formulas/macros to highlight the cells which should have been neighbors.

It would be much easier to load your scanner data and cellrefs into Spotlight and use the missing neighbor analysis feature there.
