Hi! The feature SRB on HSDPA:
- provides faster signaling;
- allows the efficient use of DL channelization codes and DL power;
- almost twice decreases HSPA RAB setup time.
It should be benificial for huge signaling areas such as
LAC borders, special event areas, sms-spam areas and etc.

another quiestion related to the same "area", when change to srb over Edch.. wich kind of signaling is this?? for example the tipical ack nack or CQI report cannot be changed or it can??

Hi! When you are using SRB on HSDPA you have HSUPA in UL since SRB on HSDPA is feature of Access Stratum Rel-7.
According to CQI, now you have the same deltaCQI, deltaACK, deltaNACK and other related parameters
in RRC Connection Setup.

So when desactivating SRB over HSUPA, do we have some gain in terms of CE consumption ? because with UL high data rates, the UL CE consumed is really considerable ! isn't it ??
