Dear All;
Could you please share the Idea to improve HOSR per BSC current value is 94% and our target is to reach 98%.
CSSR & DCR are good within target
Our N/W is build as dualband GSM900 layer 7 with layerthreshould 95 & GSM1800 is layer 4 with layerthres is 75

Check your statistic data what are main failures. It is possible to tune bsc border, neighbor list, resolve the congestion at border cells

Please try to review and increased Locating Parameter (MSRXMIN) at neighbor side

Hi Auto_RF
BSRXMIN already 103 we have plan to reduce it to 98, based on MRR our sites are overshooting around 1Km and inter site distance is around 500 meter.
Most of antenna height is 21m and area building are 6m flat area.
Is there any need to reduce the antenna height, tilt modifications in progress to be set at 9 instead of 4 or 5.

Dear David;
What is the benifet from increasing MSRXMIN
Inception

allowing more MS with lower rx level to access network

Dear David;
What is the benifet from increasing MSRXMIN
Hi RND,
MSRXMIN is a threshold for the downlink signal strength (SS_DOWN) from neighboring cells, as measured by the MS, for allowing a cell to be eligible as a handover candidate. It is defined per cell. The purposed are to increased possibility handover as required since many changes MSRXMIN in the network.
Actually in my experience i have increased many MSRXMIN parameter from -90 to -98 cell by cell and the resulr showing T_DR and HOSR improved.
Good Luck

u can try increasing khyst to 6 & bqoffset & bqoffsetAFR=2. keep eye on DL qual after implementing this

HI Jerry,
Definately as RF Optim monitoring supposed to continue since the implementation since good HOSR will be lead improvement in T_DR.
Good Luck
