Hi dears,
Have you tested the following huawei parameters for IMM ASS retransmit?

IMMASSRESENDEN, IMMASSMAXDELAYTIME,
IMMASSMAXSENDNUM.

Looking forward to your response.

yeah it actually improves CSSR if u use it in co-relation with Max Delay of Immediate Assignment 250ms and Max Transmit times of immediate assignment to 3 times......

Thank you. Currently I have used following settings:

Max Delay of IMM ASS Retransmit-50

Max Transmit Times of IMM ASS-4

IMMASSRESENDEN, - number of retransmission
IMMASSMAXDELAYTIME, - max delay
IMMASSMAXSENDNUM. - max num of sending

to increase the kpi of cssr you should increase the parameter gradually, sudden increase in values may affect the network's congestion.
it actually depends on what cell layer has to be optimize before changing the values

if this one helps please add reps tnx

Can you pls help by explaining how cssr improves by improving IASR.

Hi Taimoor Adil,

below is CSSR formula :

CSSR = Immediate assigment success rate * (1 - Sddcch call drop rate) * Tch assignment success rate

As you can see CSSR and IASR have direct relation (it means if we have improvement on IASR, CSSR will be increased and if IASR decrease, it will cause to CSSR degradation)

HI Taimoor,

as you can see in below formula CSSR & IASR have direct relation to each other and improving IASR will cause improving CSSR value and decreasing IASR will cause CSSR degradation

CSSR = IASR * (1 - Sdcch drop rate) * TCH assign success rate

And mostly in a network where SDCCH/TCH congestion is negligible, SDCCH drop is also ok, Only way to improve CSSR is to improve IASR which can be either improved by clean BCCH, lesser overshoots, Good UL Rx levels/Quality, No external interference & you can use these parameters to improve your IASR in other way round.

Ya we Tried this feature on the Heavily SDCCH congested sites on EID and results were fruitful.
Having said that Modifying T3122 from 6s to 10s was also helpful.

Thank you dears for your replies. I will post the result of trial and different sets of parametric values used for the said.

hi dears
are these parameters may cause a load on BSC??
