what´s the big deal Huawei ? why dont you give us the format and we will write the necessary code to make a reliable tool that WORKS...
Im fed up looking for a way to truly analyze your pchr files... .....:'(

I think I can help, now tell me what do you want to work with pchr, or chr, gphr...

I just need a tool that is working... for decoding "coverage analyze" for several files (all together) in RAN12. Ive tried many versions and the application closes itself when you try to open more than one file ...

Last one Ive tried is version 2008.08.04 ...

ok, found a way... I first run a test in winzip... it tests all files and apparently 80% of the files I export have problems ... that´s why the application is closing itself. Im writing a script now to test with winzip the PCHR files before running the "coverage analyze" (as they call it)

I have PCHR Analyzer, after I load a PCHR file I saw a record view based on IMSI, one call per IMSI.
there is another menu on the tool called Process : with few sub menus
for example:
- Missing Neighbor Analyze
- Neighbor priority
- Coverage Analyse
etc...

each of these asking me to load a file, any idea which file I have to provide?

Thanks

well it depends what you want to see... check the BAM ftp you will see more files (PCHR, GCHR, GPHR....) but there´s no info about it.... I only know how to work with this "coverage analyze" but I know that the developers can count many things with those files.... that´s why I was pissed off because I wanted to know every little detail of it...

I would like to start my investigation as well, hope we can help each other to solve the mistery :-)

After I load the PCHR file, and go to process --> Coverage Analysis, which file do you load? what is the format? any sample?

no, no,
I dont "OPEN" one file because you stay limited to 1 file ....
I go directly to the menu ----> Process ---> Coverage analyze.... then you have to point to a folder which CONTAINS all the pchr files you want to analyze (test with 2 or 3)..... then it will ask you WHERE to output a .TXT file containing the converage info for ALL the RNC at that period of time,.... (you have to build an excel macro or something to show you the coverage ... Ive read somewhere the guys did also to print in google earth)

I got the databTP 0--200
with some Ecno Information

you missed the values...
you will have that for each TP (each TP is equal to .234km and is related to 1 chip in the frame)
then you get that for RNC:123 and cellID:344 you have an average of -5.00 and 1 call established)

TP 0 1 2
Mean EcIo(123:344) -5.00 0.00 0.00
EcIo Count(123:344) 1 0 0

of course those TP will go until 200 I only printed 3 for you...

in E******* WCDMA (pm counter) propagation delay is up to 40 only?
here is the cut from ALEX:
Bin 0 holds the maximum delay for the cell, measured as number of chips with a range of 0.2562. Bins 1-40 are stored as a PDF with a range of 0-100%.
[0] = maximum delay
[1] = 0-1%
[2] = 1-2%
...
[10] = 9-10%
[11] = 10-12%
[12] = 12-14%
[13] = 14-16%
...
[20] = 28-30%
[21] = 30-33%
[22] = 33-36%
[23] = 36-39%
...
[30] = 57-60%
[31] = 60-64%
[32] = 64-68%
[33] = 68-72%
...
[40] = 96-100%

check that image... is a print of one cell I have....ok?

This plot looks good, if the chips is up to 40 only, then the maximum distance is 9.3 km.
In my sample files I have establishment with large count on chips 67,68,69....

the far-away part gave me problems !!! some accessibility problems. you should make an excel file... then you have to search the correct RNC:CellID pair... then you plot that...

In E******* if the chips is >40 , only bin 40 will be incremented.
for far away sites we can consoder them as overshooting cells

I move to another menu on the PCHR analyser:
Stats cell records:
I got text file with this header:
Anyone has the description for each of them with the ranges value?
for example, I got many records with Uplink RTWP = 6441.4
should I ignored this value, since this is RSSI (negative values only)

Time Cell ID Uplink RTWP Downlink TCP Uplink equivalent user number Downlink equivalent user number Count
