I'm currently working with live UMTS900 network. There are several minor difficulties (e.g. border coordination as you use all GSM channels of neighbouring country not only preferable) but now everything seems to be ok. No specific training so far... If you have any question just ask.

Does Anybody has tested the guard band required to hold both technologies on the same band, ie, UMTS900 and GSM900 without getting interferences ?

How to frequency plan it?
what about the interference??
