Dear Expert,

How can I calculate Soft Handover Success rate with drive test data in WCDMA.
There is 2 calculation method the below

Which is correct for drive test data ?

1 -) Soft Handover Success Rate = 100*(SHO HO Prosedur Complete+ SHO HO Prosedur Comp without Measurement)/ActiveSet Update Complete

2 -) Soft Handover Success Rate = 100*Active Set Update Complete/(Event 1a + Event1b+Event1c)

Thank you

Hi,
generally the SHO SR represents the RL addition, removal, and replacement success rate. Each of them is "num_AS_Update / num_AS_Update_complete". Don't use the measurement reports - you'll get horrible results!

The best formula would be:

100%*(num_ASU_command / num_ASU_complete)

disregarding whether the RL is added, removed, or replaced.

Also pay attention on the logfile start/end - make sure you start the call after the log file beginning and end all calls before you stop the file.

Regards,

Chefo

hi ozil,
event1x may be triggered several times without any ASU, specifically on drive test it is the number of your UL meas report sent.
if i were on vendor shoes, fighting for acceptance , i will choose #1.
