Dear all.
Please share your experience or opinion about use 1/3 or 1/1 re-used frequency on non synchronized radio network.
what is the advantages and dis advantages?
Thanks!

Hi Mhut,

Non-Standard Frequency hopping/Baseband hopping is used when your cluster is smaller in size and frequency band available is enough so that you can intelligently provide separate frequency for each of the hopping TRX, This has the least interference if properly planned,

1 X 3 is used when cluster is properly planned (Null filling, Grid planning and standard azimuths are followed for each site). It has lesser interference as compared with 1 X 1.
1 X 1 is the easiest to implement & has more interference as compared with 1 X 3 or Non-SFH, But it can be used if you have smaller frequency band and want more capacity.

Hi Mhut,

In my opinion, unity reuse provides much more capacity in terms of throughput but experiences more interference, while reuse-3 like in GSM deliver better SINR. However, reuse-1 is implemented widely in broadband system such as 3G, LTE and Wimax

LTE normally uses universal reuse pattern to maximise the bitrate coupled with Inter-cell interference Coordination mechanisms such as Hard FR, Soft FR
