VoLTE and RCS: Bringing IP Communications to 4G Networks

Presentation overview:
LTE is an "all-IP" based network. That provides challenges for circuit-switched services such as SMS or voice. The desired way forward is to use the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) over voice (and SMS) over IMS, better know as Voice over LTE, or VoLTE. Another aspect is the Rich Communication Suite (RCS). Doug Makashima, CTO of D2 Technologies addresses this topic in his keynote speech.
