Which is better GSM or CDMA?

I am looking for the Sony E******* phone. I have seen the GSM and CDMA Sony E******* and I want to buy the one Sony E******* for my brother but I am confused, Which is better GSM or CDMA? Can anybody help me and reply me on this thread.

For technology ,I think CDMA is better, but for roaming to all over the world, I think GSM is better.

if you are talking about customer point of view, then GSM would be better. GSM have more chance to select models and better price with similar functions.

gsm is better
as we can use gsm in all countries
no need to change the phone for the network

from technology perspective cdma is better.
but as customer you should check relevant operator's coverage and tarifs

PS. UMTS much better :)
