Hi,
In our network suddently the RTWP reading goes as high -80dBm and kind of consistence at this level. This happen in couple of sites near by at the same time. No alarms detected. We did re-tune the 2nd cell in of the site and it normalize. But others still bad. Any suggestion how to fix this problem? Any simpler way to detect any impact from unwanted devices?

Appreciate your kind advice.

Thank you,

Philippe

First, plot the RTWP levels of each sector: this will give you an idea of where the possible interferer is (find which sector is the more interfered and if there is a logical -that is the sectors in the same direction are interfered and less interfered than the closest sector to the interference source).
Secondly, check at what time is the interference happening (is it continuous interference? or sporadic happening at given hour?) It can help you to find the cause and send people making measure at the right moment. Go on site and also check if any new installation from competition (other system impacting your system).
If you don't find any impact on surrounding sites, this can also come from installation default on a specific site (check connector, jumper, antenna, RRH). So check the sector step by step.

bro

check the SIB7 if the ul interference is high note all the measurements as you drive test along the roads. There is a nominal threshold if the UL interference in the SIB7 is currently high. normally UL interference is around below -100 dbm. Interference usually results in access failures, call drops, and low throughput. If you observed all of this along with the high UL interference measurement, your next step is to make a band scan in the affected areas. Use spectrum analyzer to band scan all the possible suspected interference. Band scan all panoramic angles then trace the interference sources. if this one helps kindly add reputation. Thnx

Here in your netwokr we found some interferer in 2nd and 3rd carriers provide by DECT .
