please, i need to estimate the number of channel element and dimensionning the iub interface for a cell 3G but i have just the volume of traffic in busy hour for cell, i haven't idea of the type of services.

Hi.
It is very difficult to dimension channel elements without type of services, since each service type consumes different resources.
If you already have a real network you could get info from it and apply the same type of services.
If not, define the type of services by yourself and make the calculations.

HI Dear,

Use UBR+ U2000M80 for CNBAP & DNBAP
Use 2 Aal2 CBR path for voice & 2 UBR aal2 for data ( with aal2 availableqosprofile as C_D )

suppose if you have total traffic as 5 Mb per cell and you have 3 cells, then you should atleast dimension the throughput to 5*3/0.7 = ~ 21 Mbps = ~ 12 E1s in total

Now with 12 E1s, you have capacity = 4400*12= 52800 ATM cells ( leave 1000 for CNBAP & DNBAP ) and assign 25000 to each AAl2 path ( Class A_B ) for voice with CBR
