Hi Experts,

Does Anyone knows what is a reason behind Uplink bad quality.

If replies it would be well appreciated

Bad Uplink Quality GSM 900 or DCS 1800 ?
If the GSM 900 is possible noise from the CDMA 850.

It is for DCS 1800 as a only band

maybe external interferencs, hardware problem, bad frequency plan .....

If DTX it's not activate.I think you must activate
And look the rxqual threshold whan you camp in cell

in 900 band 1-31 Arfcn face this issue due to CDMA 850 freq inteference ...hence we go for CDMA filter circuits, normally uplink from the inside permises is poor on Multipath propagation to some extent.. this can be solved by IBS sites or Tower mount Amplifier or Booster (TMA/ TMB)

Bad Qual UL Can be addressed
1.Frequency Tuning for minimising internal interference.
2. Coverage issues
3.Hand overs & Missing neighbors
4.Use DTX (Dis continuous TX) in UL.
5.Tune ACCMIN and CRO(Idle mode Parameters).
6.Tune Power Control parameters like QLIMUL,MSTXPWR etc.

Its may be due to interference also MS access the network from poor coverage also can have bad uplink isse

In most of the cases this is a result of bad frequency planning. ALso another reason could be a new building that was not there before... Or probably another vendor has powered up its previous facilities in the area and causes additional interference. A new band scan could be very helpful in this case...
