Hi Expert,
I am doing optimize UMTS network. Many sites had problem (cross feeder). My UMTS network is very large, so I can not driving test all sites. Could you please tell me how to determine cross feeder without driving test in UMTS network( E******* and Huawei Vendor). I only supervise in OMC, could I determine it. Thanks for all reply.

Its difficult to tell in WCDMA as compared to 2G where u could view the HO flow/frequency between neighbours

Hi friend,

In 2G, you can check HO matrix and site data in the mapinfo to guess crossed feeder (in ALU system, i don't know in Huawei or E*******). I dont know in 3G system, can we get HO matrix (only count number of HO between pair neighbor)

But i think, it is better if you use drive test.

Best Regards

Hi Expert,
Thanks for your reply. I know it is very difficult to determine it without driving test. My network is very large and it is very expensive to driving test in my country( many river, mountain,..). Do you have any solution which maybe not accurate exactly. Sometime we do route driving test in my country but not for all. I don't know they install NodeB correct or not. It is a big problem with me. Thank you!

Do your contractors or subcons give SSV or Single Site Verification Report.
This is a functionality check of your cell or Node Bs where you can check if the cell/NodeBs are swap or not, Handover plot, Coverage and Signal levels and quality of your cell/NodeBs plot, throughput plot, etc.

lihanbok.is a tool in E******* system it's name is FFAX(Find faulty Antenna) which is giving cross connection(partial), High VSWR, Antenna diagram mismatch,... . It is not trustable 100% but in some case it's recommendation is true you can find such a tool in your vendor as well.

For 2G networks Schema Ultima Forte determine cross feeder very good based on MMR statistic

Hi AlexSSS (http://www.finetopix.com/member.php?2659-AlexSSS),
How about 3G, do you know how to determine cross feeder? Thank you so much.
