We are swapping a 2G Network from ******** to Huawei. We are experiecning an issue of major decrease in Data traffic after swapping after recent clusters.
Initally when we used to swap the cluster Data Traffic used to increase because there was som Processor Utilization issues with ******** Networks but after we swapped more cluster to this BSC, Traffic started decreasaing for not only newly swapped clusters but also for the clusters which initally experienced an increase in traffic.BSC Currently has around 130 Sites and Normal Configuraion for a site is around 10 to 12 TRX per site and with 1 or 2 E1s for Abis interface.

Any experience of similar issue or any suggestion will be welcome.
Thanks.

Hi Ahmad, kindly check the Gb interface utilization for the BSC. The Data Traffic for first cluster was high but as more sites were swapped high utilization of Gb interface would have reduced the throughput in all sites. It is just a speculation that needs more analysis. Compare the utilization of coding schemes before and after swap to check, if the services has improved or degraded. Regards, Jack.

Thanks a lot you both for your responses.Really appreciate it when people try to help with whatever little ir big way they can.

problem is solved now and although exact reason is not clear but I will try to summarize the best I can.Daily data traffic for BSC has increased from around 100000MB to 180000 so it was a massive loss.
BSC has its Gb link on IP via OSN Transmission equipment of Huawei and then it is connected to SGSN via Operator's MPLS network. While trying to ping the router on the MPLS side Packet loss was observed so the service conffiguration between OSN of remote side and Router was verified and some dicreapncies were found along with some alarms appearing.Afte removing those dicrepancies of service configuration between OSN equipment of remote side and router on the MPLS side, issue was resolved as no Packet loss was observed on the ping test and traffic immediately started to rise in hourly intervals so thats a breif summary.

Gb link utilization was fine around 15% and DPUd processor utilization was also very low and no problem on the Radio interface too.
Thanks once again for your responses.
