Hi,

when you do HSPA/HSPA+ drive testing, do you use UDP-based testing in addition to or instead of the typical FTP TCP-based testing?

also if you have any documentation describing the testing procedure will be highly appreciated

UDP is favored because it shows better throughput results compared to TCP networking. I do not know the technical reason for the same. Also some changes are also required at Laptop configurations to show the better results.

Hi,

UDP is apreciate to avoid TCP issue like ack, and there is a suitable tools to test udp which is iperf.
I can give dos command if needed.

effectively you can test you radio network through UDP testing without the limitations of the TCP congestion window. even if you optimise TCP window size (this is what you change at your laptop), still you have problems.

yeap i would be interested in having more info on this iperf tool from you

(you already got my reputation)
