Hi experts,

Does anyone have a TAC database ( TAC is the first 8 digits of an IMEI and links IMEI to a Phone Manufacturer)..
Can't find it anywhre in the net..

this site can provide required info of manf....u can try download "sample database" if u lucky u may find ur imei..if not then u have to pay some $$ in order to be able to download full-data base

The other option (besides the one provided by echomoon) is http://www.nobbi.com/tacquery.php, which it is not a database that it can be downlodaded. Instead it is query which you type the IMEI/TAC and the outcome is Phone type with a link to its specs and other relevant data.

The drawback is that there is a limit of the number of checks per day.

There is also one more site which can help you with this:
